The fact that Lauren is a member of the Atlanta events community herself may or may not have played a part in what a lovely bride and planning partner she was. Ever diligent in her details, ultra-communicative, decisive yet flexible, with a fun and likeable personality to boot... these are all the traits a planner dreams of in a client. Add her groom, Joey, to the mix and a couple of parents (and pups!) and it was a match made in heaven. This may or may not have been why their gorgeous garden wedding turned out so very perfectly!
The day began at the iconic Hotel Clermont with the Moore Agency creating impeccable looks for all the ladies, followed by a Rooftop First Look with Hannah from Blink. The wedding party bus to the venue set everyone in high spirits, and things only got more fun from there!
To say it was the perfect Spring day is an understatement! Callanwolde welcomed the day with lush blooms and sunshine galore. The grounds shared infinite shades of green, while the Gardens delighted with floral gifts around every corner. We could have put the ceremony off for hours just to stay in these idyllic moments of abundant beauty. But alas, a wedding was to be had!
Lauren's choice of light cornflower blue for her ladies played beautifully amidst the garden greens (and looked just as pretty on the dance floor!) while the gentlemen in tuxes were apropos to this former Candler Family estate. Lauren's gorgeous blush off-the-shoulder Justin Alexander dress from Sweet Elegance embodied both her pretty and playful spirit, and the gracefulness of the setting.
The floral presentation by Heather of Tulip was luxurious and full of charm. The bouquets, altar space, and reception appointments included peonies, white and blush pink roses, white and blush pink ranunculus, white spray roses, blush pink lisianthus, blue tweedier, touch of sky blue delphinium, lambs ear and accent greenery. All were accompanied by just the right embellishments, and woven into an overall look of joy.
After the ceremony in the Hydrangea Garden and a cocktail or two, Affairs delighted guests with offerings such as Almond Stuffed Date and Apple Wood Smoked Bacon Skewer, Green Olive Chutney, Walnut Pear Crostini + Honey Tahini Gorgonzola + Micro Green, Mesclun Salad with Herbed Parmesan, Peppered Beef Tenderloin, Lemon Zest and Panko Crusted and Roasted Salmon Filets, plus a display of Petite Desserts. YUM!
The festivities were in full swing after dinner, with DJ Deitrich at the helm. And this crowd did not disappoint! Once the tender moments of the First Dance were relished, Deitrich threw down ALL the beats, with Will and Emrah on sax and congas... and the night did not waiver in its festivity.
At night's end, Lauren and Joey were husband and wife, a magnificent time was had by all, and the new Mr. + Mrs. sent their guests on ahead to the send-off as they took the dance floor one final time for a private Last Dance. Sigh.... what a wedding it was.
