Sugar Magnolia Bed & Breakfast
The most beautiful aspect of a wedding is the gathering of hearts and spirits in celebration of the marrying couple. Friends, cousins, children, grandparents all come together from near and far to uplift, honor and support their loved ones as they cross this most significant threshold. In recognition of this, brides, grooms and parents strive to provide an exquisite weekend for their guests!
One of the most thoughtful choices a couple can make for their traveling guests is a beautiful place to stay while in town! My favorite such place is Sugar Magnolia Bed & Breakfast in Inman Park. As all good Atlantans know, Inman Park is an enchanting neighborhood full of gorgeously-appointed historic homes. Sugar Magnolia sits among them, a sumptuous 1892 Queen Anne Victorian with charm and antiquity for days! What a special treat to be able to call this dwelling home, even for a moment!
My first experience walking into the elegant front hall (after admiring the stunning turn-of-the-century chandelier!!) was a sense of warmth and welcome. Maybe it was the scent of freshly brewed coffee and baked goods in the air, but it felt like home. Yet so much more! The richness of the furnishings, the prettiness of the colors, the curated pieces… I could feel the years of happiness experienced here, and the love poured into its care. And it didn’t take long before the lovely hostess, Kathryn, and I were walking and talking and exploring all the aspects of the home that make Sugar Magnolia one of the most desirable B&B’s in the southeast.
While hotels are convenient and offer many desirable benefits, accommodations like Sugar Magnolia will elevate your guests’ experience to a delicious weekend getaway! Often, in fact, the bride herself will take advantage of the loveliness and have her wedding morning here, surrounded by the people she loves, preparing for her day ahead in peace and tranquility.
If I were a bride, this is the experience I would gift to my people. Not only the beauty of a long-planned wedding celebration, but the chance to relax and enjoy their time in comfort and luxury. Lush gardens, graceful porches, roaring fireplaces and a baby grand in the sitting room… can you hear the music and the laughter?
