The buzz and excitement surrounding a new event space can be matched only by the celebratory spirit of it’s opening events! And so it was when Atlanta’s wedding and event planners gathered at 433 Bishop to welcome this chic, industrial venue as the latest addition to the Novare family of properties. With a five-course gourmet luncheon by Three Sisters Catering, and luxurious décor by Bold American Events, the room and the afternoon were alight with festivity!
As a wedding planner, it’s such a treat to be on the other side of an event as a guest, especially when the players go all out to make the party special! And special this certainly was, right from the start. Beautifully lettered invitations were hand-delivered, along with containers of Three Sisters’ signature Pimento Cheese, and that was just the beginning. As for the end… how often do you leave an event to learn that the host had your car hand washed while in valet? Yes, friends, it’s all in the details!
Between the beginning and the end, however, is the fun! After champagne and passed hors d’oeuvres, we were welcomed to tables beautifully appointed by Jessica Dankenbrink and Breanna Garvin of Bold, while plates of the foretold Pimento Cheese and a delicious Salmon Pâté accompanied wine service.
Then, Three Sisters owners Kate Holway and Molly Holway, and Operations Director Melissa Loy showed as catering elite with courses such as Crab Salad on Toast Points, Beef Wellington, and Creamy Grits with Asparagus and Caramelized Onion.
With culinary talent and charm to spare, Executive Chef Matthew Bent and his team ~ Chef Simon Bent, Chef Jean Basile and Chef Clarence Berger ~ put excellent food on our plates, then smiles on our faces as they visited tables and mingled with guests after dessert service.
Among the delights of the day, I was privileged to be seated beside the lovely Karoline Silva, who has risen through Novare to emerge as the new 433 Bishop Sales Manager. We chatted about all kinds of fun things, but most importantly the venue details! Moderately priced and perfectly suited for a smaller guest list, the space fills a gap in the industry for couples seeking a wedding of distinction in a boutique venue.
Features like the open display kitchen, beautifully designed soft-seating alcoves, a spacious walk-up bar and inviting outdoor spaces make 433 Bishop a yet undiscovered gem on the West Side. Weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, parties… the space is ready and waiting! Give Karoline a call to schedule a visit and be prepared to fall in love!
